School Programme

In the month of January, our classes were held online due to the lockdown restrictions. But in February, when the restriction curbs were lifted, it gave us a chance to meet the children at our Eternus Centres. The students had series of revisions and monthly tests during February and March for which we helped them prepare for.

By the end of April and 2nd week of May, both the schools had conducted Annual Exams. All our children were promoted to the next class.

Our work with Class 11 and 12

We had Class 11 (2 students) and Class 12 (5 students), who were appearing for Public Examination this year.

In February, Class 12 (all in Commerce Stream) met with Mr. Manohar John, Principal, MCC School. He spoke on how they could best prepare for the Public exams and the various career opportunities in their area of interests.

In addition to this, in March, the students had a chance to meet with two of our Eternus alumni, Sonia (Associate, Accenture) and Janani (Assurance Associate, Ernest and Young). They were able to clear the doubts of the student regarding the course they wish to purse, and the possible employment opportunities after that.

In April, we met with Class 11 and 12 over zoom, to help the children get mentally prepared for the Public exam starting from May. A short passage was shared by Wincy on Goal Setting. Sarah, our Tutor, prayed for the children at the end.

College Programme

On the Sundays of January to April, we discussed real-life topics like Contributing to a Healthy family, and series of episodes from Alpha Youth Series (a YouTube channel) which explored topics centred on life, faith and meaning.

Our weekly sessions were a combination of topics broadly under Language, Soft skills and writing skills. Phrasal verbs and type, Comprehensive writing, Presentation skills and etiquette, Documentary Review, Methods of Brainstorming, Validation of Online data, and Business mail, were the topics covered. Students also were given assignments on these topics. These classes are tailor made, and students have sessions based on which year they are in college.

The final year students had sessions on career preparation, where they learnt how to approach Aptitude tests. We encouraged them to register for online certification programs as it would add to their off campus learning and work experience.

Sharmila. S, Eternus alumni, volunteered to conduct a session for the students on ‘HR perspective in recruitment’. It was an interactive session and the students found it informative and useful.
